Harbord Scouts have adopted Curl Curl Beach as our beach to clean each month as part of the Surfrider Foundation's 'Adopt a Beach' program. We meet at North Curly Beach at 4 PM on the first Sunday of Each Month. This is only for an hour, so please come on time so we can take a group photo at the beginning.

First Aid Days 26 Oct + TBA

We have two First Aid certification days to make sure that we can confidently give back to our community when it is needed. Thank you to Bucketty’s, who are the first company to make a donation towards this annual event. If you are in a position to ask your company or employer to make a donation, I would be most grateful. Contact me if you or your Scout would like to do the First Aid training 🙂

🎄 Christmas Tree Sales – 13 & 14 December

This is our biggest fundraiser of the year and helps keep fees low for everyone. We need every family to pitch in:

• Volunteer on the day: Many hands make light work!

Your effort here directly supports our scouting activities and keeps costs affordable.

🙏 A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Volunteers

A huge thank you to all our volunteers, especially our dedicated leaders Ralph and Sue, Alison, Paul K, Nicki, Heidi, Simon, Paul V, and Emma, as well as committee members Emma, Alex, Gina, Carl, Angie, Annora, Niki and Leigh and all the parent helpers who have gone the extra mile to create the best possible experiences for our kids. We are so grateful for your time and energy.

    Beach to Beach Volunteers

What can I say, it was the perfect weather for the first half-marathon run for Beach to Beach. Our youth members appeared to have a really good time giving the runners a needed drink. The Warringah Rotary Club, which organised the event, donated funds to our group as a thank you for all your effort.

💚 Special Thanks to Treasurer Emma – and a Call for Help

An extra-special thank you to Emma, our Treasurer, who will be stepping down at the end of this year.

We urgently need someone to step into this vital role, which involves:

• Making payments to suppliers

• Creating a simple monthly report in Excel

If you or someone you know can help, please nominate them. This is an essential position to keep our group thriving.

Thank you for your ongoing support. Together, we make scouting an amazing adventure for our kids.

Yours in Scouting,

Tin Tin (Justin O'Hare)
